After dismissing the girl, she leaves her husband and goes to live at her parents' house. There, however, by chance, her former maid comes to work as a domestic helper. Polyxeni's father, brother, son-in-law, a naval officer, and two of his sailors fall in love with the maid, leading to misunderstandings and comical situations.
